Hunter: Worst Performance In Premiership

Hunter was dismayed by the horrible display at Everton, branding it the worst performance he had seen in the Premiership.

The last three defeats leaves Leeds in the relegation zone and Hunter believes they face a real fight for survival.

They have won just one league game in their worst start to a season for 22 years.

Former England defender Hunter, who was at Goodison Park working for BBC Radio Leeds as a summariser, said in The Mirror: "It really upsets me when I see players wearing the Leeds shirt performing like that.

"It should be a case of 'over my dead body'. What really hurts is Everton didn't even have to work hard for the win.

"That Leeds performance was the worst I've seen in the Premiership.

"It was embarrassing, shambolic, and the worrying thing is Peter Reid doesn't have the funds to do anything about it.

"If we perform like that there is no way we can avoid being in the relegation fight at the end of the season.

"Since Roque Junior came in at Leicester we've conceded 12 goals in four matches. But it's not just the defence that's bad, at Everton the whole team were overrun."
