The Sunday People reports that Reid, initially brought in to save Leeds' Premiership status last season, faces the boot this week.

Trevor Birch last week announced his intentions if Reid did not start picking up results, and plc chief Allan Leighton wants a change as soon as possible.

The SP states that despite public comments from Birch before yesterday's game, there is a different story behind the scenes.

There is major foreign investment waiting to step in before the January transfer window but they want the right man at the helm.

The SP also says Leeds are working on signing players with cash from United fan Sheikh Abdul din Mubarak Al-Khalifa, an Arabian multi-millionaire.

But the oil-rich Bahrain-based supporter wants to make sure the money is spent well and will have a say in the next boss and his targets.

Nottingham Forest boss Paul Hart is the favourite to be approached.
