Heath Happy With Loan

The 26-year-old defender left Elland Road to join Colchester on loan until April 12 yesterday.

Heath was named in the starting line-up for Gary McAllister's first game as manager against Tranmere Rovers on February 2, but he has not featured since and is one of five senior players who have departed Leeds on loan in recent weeks.

Heath said: "Football's football and different managers have different opinions. Dennis Wise liked me and the new guy didn't like me as much so you just have to train well and carry on.

"I wasn't in his plans so he said I could go out and play on loan. A few of the lads were told the same thing and to get to a club from the division above, I'm really happy."

Curtis Weston, Leon Constantine and Ian Westlake were allowed to take up loan opportunities away from Leeds last week, while young left-back Ben Parker was sent for a spell with Darlington at the end of February.
