Hart Talks Already Held?

The Independent says Hart has emerged as the first-choice candidate to replace Peter Reid.

However, the Leeds United board is split over the profile of their potential new manager.

Leeds are concerned over the length of contract that should be offered, with relegation a distinct reality.

The board do not want to be stuck with a wrong choice manager next season if they do drop a division.

Meanwhile, Paul Hart today dismissed reports that he had already met Leeds United officials.

He said: "There have been no talks. I have not been in contact with Leeds United at all."
