Gazza - I could do a job for Terry

Gazza, who played under Venables at Spurs, has revealed that all he wants is the chance to once more play for a British club.

"I've been training hard and I am the fittest I have been in three years. But I'm sick of training on my own. I want a club," said Gazza.

"I'm desperate to get back and prove I can still do it.

"I don't want any presents on the 25th. I just need to get back on that field because I am missing it a hell of a lot.

"I've spoken to a couple of agents and it's just a matter of time. Whoever signs me, I won't let them down.

"I'd love a Premiership or First Division club to take me on. I still have options abroad but I'm looking to stay in this country for my kids - I want to see more of them.

"I could do a job for Terry. He will turn that club round come January. I have got a lot of time and respect for Terry. He is a clever bloke in football terms. I would do anything for him. I always call him my second dad."

Gazza has been without a club since being released by Burnley at the end of last season and has been linked with Exeter City and Gillingham in recent months.
