Former Leeds Skipper Crocked

The Preston midfielder had an operation on Friday on the knee he injured in a reserves game at Tranmere.

Preston boss Alan Irvine revealed: "They have found he has a bit of a crack in the bone as well."

Preston are hoping the fracture, believed to be at the top of his tibia, will not delay his return to action.

"We are still looking at between four and six weeks," added Irvine. "The crack should take as long as the knee problem to heal, so that should not make it any longer."

Nicholls will probably go down in recent history as one of the worst skipper's to have worn the armband at Elland Road and we at LeedsUnitedMAD hope his return to football is long delayed!
