If the Whites are to put a cup run together, it will start in Wales following the third round draw this evening at Anfield, which saw the club drawn away at Cardiff City. The Welsh side are currently struggling at the wrong end of the Championship table.
United will play their third-round clash on the weekend of Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th of January, with the game coming just days after a home match with West Ham United and the week before a trip to Aston Villa.
