Elding Being Linked With Move

Reports suggest Elding is being allowed to leave by Gary McAllister with Crewe showing an early interest in the striker.

Elding was the subject of a bid from Alex boss Steve Holland at the end of January but he was snubbed in favour of Leeds at the time.

Elding arrived at Elland Road on a two-and-a-half-year deal shortly before the January transfer window deadline, with Leeds paying Stockport an undisclosed fee believed to have been in the region of £100,000, but his opportunities in Leeds have been limited.

He has made just four starts with the Whites and may struggle to make an impact next season with Leeds on the look-out for re-inforcements up front.

During his period with Stockport he was a prolific scorer in League Two and left the Hatters in January with 15 goals for the season, with 26 goals in 45 starts in all.
