Duberry: I'm Just On The Bread And Butter

Last updated : 29 April 2004 By Kevin Markey

Duberry wants to remain in the top flight and he admitted: "It burns and it hurts because it's all about pride. We're right down there and some of the results this year and the beatings we've had, it all hurts deeply.

"You look at the table and to see Leeds down there really hurts. Over half this squad is used to being near the top of the table and playing in Europe. When you go from up there to down here it's a different world.

"I've sampled the caviar side of football. Now I'm just on the bread and butter and it's not nice. I don't want to play anywhere but the Premier League and that's what every player from the Nationwide Division Three up wants.

"That's why so many foreign players come here. The Premier League is the best in the world. That is incentive enough for anyone over these last three games."
