Douglas & Hughes Injury Update

Douglas took part in yesterday's session at Thorp Arch and the Republic of Ireland international could be available to Gary McAllister by the end of the month.

Douglas' return is a major bonus for United. It was initially feared the midfielder would not play again this season after suffering ligament damage in the 1-1 draw at Walsall 10 days before Christmas.

McAllister said: "Jonathon has trained with us, and he's a player we're looking forward to having available. He's been coming along nicely and it'll be very good for us when he's ready, but I'm trying to rein him in slightly, just to make sure that when he does play he's absolutely right."

Douglas was joined in training yesterday by fellow midfielder Hughes, who has recovered from minor surgery on damaged knee cartilage and is hoping to make his comeback against Bournemouth at Elland Road this weekend.
