The striker said: "This result doesn't affect our confidence at all. We are disappointed but we have a good recent record and we have players coming in to form. This was my first defeat. We are gutted but we've got to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and get ready for Saturday's game at Millwall.

"I thought the lads stuck in there when we went down to 10 men and worked very hard. We just didn't have that cutting edge, just that little bit of quality we needed in the last third maybe let us down.

"However, we've had that in recent weeks and that is how you win games and how you win leagues, with that cutting edge up front.

"I'm very experienced at play-offs and I tell you, this team has got what it takes. We've only had one defeat in seven in games, so we're on our roll. There's good quality in the side, unfortunately, you didn't see the best of it at Huddersfield but going into the play-offs, we've got a decent chance.

"I came here with a determination to get promotion with Leeds, to bring some experience to help that. I've really enjoyed myself here. It's a fantastic club with great fans and I feel I've done all right for them."
