Domi: Happy To Be Back

The French star has arrived on a season-long loan from PSG with United able to tie him up on a long-term deal for 3m Euros before his loan period expires should he have the desired affect at Elland Road.

Domi's previous spell in the Premiership saw him fall out with Sir Bobby Robson when he was with Newcastle, and there was an acrimonious parting between the two.

Speaking at Leeds-Bradford Airport before leaving with the squad for Leeds’ trip to Dublin, Domi said he was looking to put the Newcastle affair behind him.

"I spoke with Peter Reid but it's taken some time to get this far," said the 25-year-old. "They called me back last week and, now I am in Leeds, I am happy.

"I want to make things clear about Newcastle, I've been crazy about this thing, I have no problems with Bobby Robson and the fans.

"Everyone knows I like Newcastle so there's no problem and I had a good time there.

"I hope to bring to the team what I did at Newcastle, pace on the left and put in crosses and show some energy.

"There's a lot of good players here, like Nicky Barmby, Alan Smith and Mark Viduka. I am looking forward to playing with them.

"I am happy to come back to England, everyone knows me here and it's no problem that it's just on loan.

"I have been training since late June so my fitness is no problem and I have been playing some games for Paris," he said.

"I will play wherever the manager plays me because I am just happy to be at Leeds."
