Blackpool were believed to be looking for £200,000 in compensation for Grayson and the case has been settled after a Football League disciplinary tribunal held in Manchester today, though neither side will disclose the details of their agreement.

United were facing allegations that they broke Football League rules in appointing Grayson as their new manager on December 23, hours after he resigned from his post at Bloomfield Road.

Leeds' chief executive Shaun Harvey said: "We are delighted the matter is now resolved and Simon can concentrate on the work he has started in seeking to get the club promoted. We wish Blackpool well for the future."
