The former Manchester United utility player was reportedly resigned to leaving Elland Road this summer but Pugh says he is keen to stay on at Leeds and will weigh up his options at the end of the campaign.

Preston and Watford are both understood to have had made enquiries about his availability but Pugh is considering his future and will make a decision when it is appropriate.

Pugh said in the Yorkshire Evening Post: "I'd love to stay here if I've got the chance to be more involved and play games. I was asked about my future last week and I'm a bit suprised that things have been interpreted the way they have. I've never said that I want to leave Leeds at the end of the season. This is a great club and I love it here, but I don't know what's going to happen. There's nothing more I'd like than to be a part of the side because I want to play games.

"This season has been hard, particularly after last year" conceded the 23-year-old.

Kevin Blackwell admitted: "We've spoken to Danny and offered him a deal to stay, but he has decided to wait until the end of the season. It's no problem to me. Danny is a diamond of a lad and I can understand his sentiments."
