England were placed in what was the hardest group where they faced Italy, Sweden and holders Germany. England were through to the semi-finals before they faced Germany on Tuesday after beating both Sweden and Italy earlier in the week.

England, in spite of their 6-0 hammering by Germany, finished top of Group A as Sweden and Italy drew 2-2 in the other group game. England now face France tomorrow (5pm KO local time) and the final will take place this Sunday.
