Chief Scout Monitor’s Morgan

Morgan, who turned 18 last month, is regarded as one of the best young defenders outside the Premiership and he put in an excellent display in front of Heath, who must have been impressed.

With Lucas Radebe and Dominic Matteo prone to injury and Duberry hardly awe inspiring during our pre-season games thus far; Peter Reid is thought to be looking for extra cover in the stopper department.

Morgan broke through into Wrexham’s first team last season and is highly thought of by current manager Denis Smith who said: “ I’ve asked him to play on the right and on the left and that’s asking a lot of an 18-year-old to just adapt to that but he’s done it well.”
