Chase For Currie Hots Up

Reports suggest that the Whites are ready to offer £250k for the Ipswich midfielder with talk of United left-back Dan Harding being thrown into the deal in order to tempt them to sell.

Leeds were linked with Currie last month but Town boss Jim Magilton claimed he was not about to sell the 31-year-old claiming it would take £2m to interest them.

But the Tractor Boys are thought to be on the lookout for a new left-back and with Harding appearing to be surplus to requirements at Elland Road some sort of agreement could be reached with the two sides.

However, Leeds may have to act fast as both Crystal Palace and Hull are also reportedly keen on Currie.
