The Gentle Giant was revered by both sets of fans and he scored 150 league goals in eight years at Leeds, including 42 goals in the 1953-54 season.

The wife of Wales' greatest footballing son, Glenda, and his younger brother Mel, another former Welsh soccer international, will be paraded at the Liberty Stadium in memory of the hero.

Charles, born in Swansea, who was never cautioned or dismissed in his career and was granted the freedom of Swansea in 2003.

He is immortalised at Elland Road as the West Stand now bears his name and both Swansea and Leeds have a bust of the great man.
