Challenging Road Ahead For Whites

Mark Viduka (hamstring) and Jermaine Pennant (food poisoning) are both declared fit for the first test against trans-Pennine rivals Manchester United tomorrow.

Brazilian Roque Junior also returns to the squad after serving a one-match suspension but Peter Reid is expected to stick with the same defence that played in the victory against Blackburn last time out.

Ian Harte serves the second of a three-match ban and Jody Morris is currently suspended as Leeds look into allegations of sexual assault.

This game is followed by further Premiership games at Liverpool and at home to Arsenal, with those fixtures sandwiched by a second visit of Sir Alex Ferguson's side, this time in a Carling Cup clash.

The Man Utd boss has indicated that Rio Ferdinand will face his former club at Elland Road.

Ferguson looks set to name the side that defeated Birmingham City with Darren Fletcher and Quinton Fortune keeping their places ahead of Ronaldo and John O'Shea.
