Chairman Seeks Asian Comfort

With the appointment of new chief executive Trevor Birch announced today, McKenzie will hand the day-to-day running of the club to his new No 2 and concentrate all efforts on securing investment from Asia, where he has excellent business contacts.

McKenzie has already made several trips to the Far East since becoming Leeds chairman and along with seeking new funding will also focus on restructuring the club's existing debt.
