Chairman Extracts Apology From Ultras 1919

The Leeds chairman quickly condemned the 'supporters' who sent Blackwell abusive letters two weeks ago after a dip in form, when United could not manage a win in 8 games, and he revealed that he had extracted an apology from those responsible on behalf of his manager.

"Kevin got an apology from the 'Ultras 1919' for their anonymous threat, which they say wasn't intended to be hurtful or malicious," Bates said in his programme notes on Saturday.
