Carver In Line For Assistant Role

Ellis admitted that he decided to end his two-year stay at the club after being offered a different role for next season.

He said: "The gaffer offered me a different position but it wasn't one I felt committed to. There are no hard feelings and I've loved my time here, but the best decision was for me to move on."

Carver, who joined Leeds last July, was Sir Bobby Robson's assistant during his five years in charge at Newcastle United.
