Everton's Keith Wyness said: "Leeds United have been in contact with us regarding taking Kevin Campbell on-loan. This request has been rejected and Kevin will be staying at Goodison Park."

There are rumours around Goodison Park that Everton want to give Campbell a pay off to end his contract with possibly Millwall or Brentford favourites to sign him, as he may want to go back South.

Everton boss David Moyes has said: "We will need Kevin during the Christmas period. Things can change very quickly at that time of year and Kevin has been training really well. We are not in a hurry to do anything regarding Kevin's situation."
