Cahill Loan Deal On Cards

The Whites are allegedly on the look out for a new centre-back and according to reports Kevin Blackwell wants to take Cahill on loan until the transfer window opens in the New Year.

Last season the 19-year-old impressed whilst on loan at Burnley, where he started 27 games in the league but he has played just once for Villa this season, and that was in the Carling Cup.

Leeds are also keen to sign Brede Hangeland from Viking Stavanger when the January window opens but in the meantime Blackwell sees Cahill as an ideal short-term solution.

Blackwell is now set to get in touch with former Leeds boss David O'Leary to see if he is available.
