Boston Chairman Furious

The pre-season match at York Street was called off due to a waterlogged pitch by Leicester referee Kevin Friend.

The area affected was outside the Town End goalmouth, which vandals attacked with chemicals more than three weeks ago.

Not only did the substance kill the grass in the particular area, but also resulted in draining problems.

Following Thursday's torrential downpours there was standing water where the grass has died which left Friend no choice but to cancel the money-spinning fixture.

Leeds have agreed to rearrange the game during the season.
