Boocock: We Could Have Second Division Team

John Boocock, co-chairman of the Leeds United Supporters Trust, believes they would be in free-fall if they drop from the Premiership.

“If the club is relegated you can see Alan Smith, Paul Robinson and James Milner being sold and without them I don’t think we could cope in the First Division,” Boocock said in The Mirror.

“There have been examples in the past of teams who have gone through two divisions after being relegated from the Premiership like Manchester City and Sheffield Wednesday.

“We need to preserve our Premiership status at all costs.

“If you rip much more out of this team and sell the likes of Smith, Robinson and Milner, then you’ll be left with a Second Division team.”
