The game was postponed after the St Andrews pitch, which was recently relaid, was not ready in time.
City are instead expected to get away with a heavy fine. Heavy rain on Friday made the surface unplayable while contractors were attempting to lay the new turf.
City managing director Karren Brady said: "Nothing more could have been done to get the game on."
