Brown only joined Spurs earlier this year from Sheffield United, but Blackwell knows all about him from his time with The Blades and is hopeful he can convince the 27-year-old to come to Elland Road, possibly on a loan deal.
Spurs signed Brown from Sheffield in the January 2004 transfer window and after serving an initial suspension upon joining, the Hartlepool-born player featured in every game after making his debut in the 2-1 home win over Liverpool on January 17.
Competition has hotted up however in the Spurs midfield with the arrival of Sean Davis from Fulham and Pedro Mendes from Porto.
