Simon Grayson told the club`s official website: "Luciano is pencilled in for an operation. If we should make the play-offs we can delay it and it could be that he would play but otherwise he will have the op and he will be back for pre-season."
Leeds take on champions QPR at Loftus Road on Saturday while sixth-placed Nottingham Forest head to Crystal Palace. Grayson`s side need to win and hope Forest lose, with a six-goal swing in Leeds' favour.
