Becchio, who underwent minor surgery in the summer to resolve a hamstring problem, completed 60 minutes of the comfortable victory.
The 27-year-old scored 20 goals in 44 appearances to finish as the club's leading marksman last season.
He was one of several senior players making his return from injury on Tuesday, with Alex Bruce, Leigh Bromby and Billy Paynter all involved.
