Batty Motive To Stay On

Batty will be even more crucial to The Whites after Leeds' decision to ban Morris for two weeks on full pay because of the former Chelsea midfielders involvement in an alleged serious sexual assault.

With Morris now ruled out of the next game against Manchester United on October 18th, Batty is sure to start at Elland Road.

His contract expires next summer and Peter Reid has already hinted at the ex-England midfielder about staying on for another 12 months.

Batty made his first league start in 18 months against Blackburn last Saturday and Morris' suspension gives him an ideal opportunity to seal his place back in the Leeds midfield.
