Batty has suffered with injuries in the last two seasons, but it is unlikely he would rather ply his trade against the likes of Burton, Northwich and Woking ahead of Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd!
Whether this is some sort of publicity stunt to sell season tickets remains to be seen, but former United chairman Bill Fotherby has also indicated that he would be willing to take Batty to Harrogate Town.
Batty is in the squad for the friendly trip to Bristol City tomorrow.
