Bates’ eight-year term at the helm came to an end yesterday as part of the deal which saw Dubai-based GFH Capital purchase the club from him last December. He will now take up a three-year role as club president.
GFH-C’s David Haigh will step up to become managing director and Shaun Harvey will step down from his role as CEO.
The club confirmed Harvey will remain as a director, but Haigh - formerly a director - will now be responsible for the day-to-day running of the club.

“At the same time, we extend our thanks to Shaun for his services to the club over the past nine years. Shaun will remain as a director of the club to offer us his considerable footballing experience.”
