The 23-year-old Chelsea midfielder made his first team debut for the Blues in an FA Cup tie at Derby County in 2014, before ending that season by winning the club’s Young Player of the Year award, as well as our Goal of the Season prize for a superb back-heel scored during an Under-21 game against Arsenal.

Capable of playing in a number of midfield roles, Baker joined Chelsea at Under-10s age group.

He was a pivotal part of their Under-18 side which won the FA Youth Cup in 2012 and it was Baker’s goal away at Manchester United which secured the Under-21 Premier League title in 2014.

Having helped Vitesse Arnhem win the Dutch Cup in 2016/17, Baker spent last season at loan at Middlesbrough.

At international level he has represented England through the younger age groups and in 2016 he was the top scorer as the Under-21s won the Toulon Tournament, netting four goals in total, including one in the final.

Baker will now continue his development at Elland Road under the guidance of new Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa.
