Milito's club Independiente say they have received an official faxed offer from Leeds, although the bid is understood to fall well below their valuation of the player.
Milito said: "I spoke to my agent during the weekend and he told me there was some interest from Leeds. I would love to play in England, as it's one of the biggest leagues in the world and, in my opinion, they have the best football there these days."
