Ajose, a summer signing from Peterborough United, signed a three-year deal at Elland Road in August but has since found first-team opportunities limited.
Following his move, the 23-year-old has featured just four times in all competitions and has not been involved since David Hockaday’s departure three months ago.
The former Manchester United trainee made his debut in the opening day defeat to Millwall and his last appearance came as a second-half substitute in August's home loss to Brighton.
Ajose has now made the move to League One in a bid to play regular football ahead of the loan window's closure at 5pm on Thursday.
