http://sportwitness.ning.com/ report that the Frenchman has been linked with a move to Leeds in the past week along with his club teammate Sol Bamba.

Damiani said that Leeds owner Massimo Cellino is interested in NGoyi as he continues to recruit players from Italy.

Damiani went on to say that negotiations are still happening with Leeds as they wait for a decision on whether he will return to his home country or join the Championship club.

"NGoyi - he has had requests, in France and England. There is also the Leeds and Cellino, but we are still under negotiation," said Damiani on the interest from Leeds for the French midfielder.

United have been monitoring the French player and are now weighing-up whether to make a move for the 26-year-old.

The club’s sporting director Nicola Salerno recently spoke about bringing in a midfield during this transfer window and NGoyi may be more than an idea after the confirmation of talks.

Cellino and Salerno are also interested in Palermo defender Bamba who has failed to make an impact since he arrived at the club in the summer.

The Ivory Coast international has made just one league appearance all season and may have to leave to get more playing time.
