Leeds Ladies In Cup Semi

The ladies have made it to the FA Cup and Premier League cup finals in the past two years, while Everton recently won the League Cup, ending two years of domestic competition domination by Arsenal Ladies.

Leeds boss Rick Passmoor told leedsunitedladies.com: "It hasn't been an ideal preparation for our biggest game of the season. I can't believe they have scheduled the semi-finals in the same week as international games, and we now have to wait as some of our players will have played three games this week, and then a fourth one in the same week will be an FA Cup semi-final.

"We have four players away with the England U19s and two away with the U23s this week, we also have Sue Smith recovering from an injury picked up on England's last trip. We are proud for our players to represent their country, but I just wish they hadn't have scheduled an FA Women's Cup semi-final the same week when so many young players will have played up to three games leading into it.

"We will go out there on Sunday though and give it everything we have, we want to be in that final, no matter what it takes. It won't be easy; Everton are a very capable team with a lot of skill and experience, and they proved by beating Arsenal in the League Cup final that they can beat any team on their day. They narrowly beat us in the league but we should have come away with the points. Form can go out of the window with cup games, we have to ensure it isn't us and that we book out place in the final."
