Three years later, he moved to BBC Network Radio Sport. There, he worked for Five Live on a variety of sports, including golf (three Open Championships and two Ryder Cups), tennis, swimming and the University Boat Race - but mostly football.

His credits with the BBC include Euro '96 and the 1996 European Cup Final. In his final season with the BBC, he commentated for Match of the Day.

He has written for The Independent newspaper and several sporting publications, as well as being the voice of the Sony Playstation game 'This is Football'.

Since arriving at ITV in 1998, Peter Drury has been a leading member of the ITV commentary team.

In 2005, Peter commentated on ITV's first broadcast of The Boat Race.

He has also commentated at the 1998, 2002 & 2006 World Cup, Euro 2000 and Euro 2004 as well as scores of matches, many 'live', in the Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup and Nationwide League. He has also contributed to ITV's coverage of snooker.

Peter lives in Hertfordshire with his wife Vicky and their three children.
