Pre-Season Tour With Mick Hewitt - Day Five

Last updated : 19 July 2017 By .

Five days in and not seen a ball kicked in anger. But we are having a good time.
Apparently on the journey back to Munich there were a couple of incidents. Firstly, Coke made someone move who was trying to sleep across 2 seats and the guy next to him called him a nasty man. He had that all day today.
Then the wine incident. Alex got blame for getting a cork bottle instead of a screw top. Borrowed a pen, broke it . Everything failed ,ended breaking all over Kjell Skjerven and Gary Edwards
, a bath in wine and no photos. Then 3 people were thrown off coach at passport control for false documents, non-eventful.
Bri and I set off home after a hearty breakfast. I thought I ordered scrambled eggs and ham. I got 5 fried eggs and ham, I managed 3. Although lovely scenery driving back I am now fed up of mountains and trees. We get to border and I get grilled by the passport control (I think it's my tan), on to Munich. We get back to our hotel Sbahn and Bri turns the wrong way, quality.
I catch up with some work and go to join the lads at the local beer garden. I hear Tony Short before I see him and the party is in full flow. Where is Bri? I sent him down to you ages ago. Lost in the park then.
What an afternoon with stories shouted across the table and steins of beer getting drunk faster and faster. Weather is great and so is the company. It takes its toll and a few are calling it a day. We decide to go to the Chinese. There is a fun fair next to the beer garden and the next thing Dave, Kev and Ian Cokayne
Coke are in the dodgems. Coke gets ejected. You can see the result (I think) on video later.
A very nice Chinese meal of Duck in a Thai sauce with li cheese which I shared with Dave as his did not turn up.
We are now drunk as a team.
As normal I'm finished after eating and it’s bed for me. Lads lasted until 2am.
Warriors!
