"Before the game I'd said I wanted us to entertain, but winning games is the most important thing. Saturday was a great game for the neutral, but not for me," Carver said.
"I was disappointed with the defending for the first, second and third goals. I can forgive the fourth because we had everyone forward and were looking for the equaliser ourselves.
"But the first three were unacceptable. The first was from a set-piece and the jobs and responsibilities players have is to stay with their man. The second and third were unacceptable too. It was poor defending - not from individuals, but as a team. The way we are conceding goals is frightening.
"There has been a honeymoon period for me, but this result has been a wake-up call because there are things we need to work on."
