Dreadful Day - Carver

Carver said: "It's a dreadful day. My first apology is to the fans, and I have to take full responsibility because I prepared the team and I picked the team.
"The main criticism has to be at myself and I've got to take that. I had 10 days to prepare the team, but there's no point having great preparation and then playing as poorly as that.

"There's not a great deal I can take out of that game. I never been in a situation like this. It's a lonely place out there and I'm really disappointed because I see this as an opportunity. We're in a situation where Leeds United have lost 4-0 at home – that's not a good result for anyone at this football club but me in particular.

"I know where my ambitions are and I know what the standards are at this club. It certainly doesn't help my case."
