Defeat Hinged On Two Big Decisions - Carver

Carver was angry as Matthew Kilgallon was sent off early in the second half for bringing down Elvis Hammond and then a header was cleared off the line by the Leicester defence, with replays showing it should have counted.

"The defeat hinged on two big decisions," said Carver.

"The first was the sending-off. I have had a look at it on the video and we will be appealing against it.

"For me it was a 50-50 challenge. Killa had his arm across the guy, the guy had his arm across Killa and they both fell over.

"I have watched it five or six times and it was never a sending-off.

"The second was whether the ball crossed the line and, again, I have watched it again and the ball was about a yard over the line.

"Those are crucial decisions and games hinge on that.

"I saw some great commitment, spirit and effort out there. I saw 10 players who never gave up as they chased the game. If I get that, I am happy."
