Daniel James could make a surprise return to action in Saturday's game at fellow newly-promoted side Burnley.
James, who has missed Leeds' last three matches, was expected to be sidelined for up to six weeks when withdrawn from Wales' squad a fortnight ago after turning an ankle in training.
Farke said: "Very positive with Dan James. He's ahead of schedule, so compliments to our medical staff and rehab coaches. He was involved in major parts of team training."
Farke revealed Willy Gnonto, recently sidelined due to a calf injury, is now recovering from minor hernia surgery, but the Italy forward is hoping to return to contention for next Friday's home game against West Ham.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Lucas Perri could also return to the squad.
