Doumbe was given a straight red card following a challenge on Sanchez Watt and, after having already been sent off this season, the defender is currently set to serve a four-match ban.
The Dons gave notice of an appeal to the FA on Monday morning and are set to submit a full application by Tuesday afternoon.
But the club have confirmed that they will not be appealing the dismissals of David McCracken and Peter Leven from the same game.
