Blackwell: Backroom Staff Needs Resolving

Leeds were the last champions of the old First Division in the 1989/90 season and Blackwell spent three-and-a-half years their as assistant to Neil Warnock at Sheffield United before moving up to the Premiership last year.

Blackwell said: "We're in a division I know a lot about and I'll be hoping to bring in an assistant who has been in that division. It's important this club gets grounded in what the First Division is all about to ensure we get out of it quickly.

"The backroom staff needs resolving. There are some good backroom staff here already and we have to sort it out quickly. I need to do the job on and off the pitch and that adds demands to me but that's the challenge I'm very happy to accept."
