Andrea Radrizzani

The Italian businessman is most commonly known for co-founding in MP & Silva Worldwide, who deal with television rights for a variety of sports internationally.

Interestingly, the company deal with the rights of numerous football leagues and competitions including: Premier League, Championship, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and even FIFA World Cup.

It doesn’t seem to waiver his passion for football however, since becoming a co-owner it looks as though he has involved himself with the club’s history as well as the potential future.

He also founded Play for Change which endeavours to help “the lives of young people around the world by providing access to play, sports and education.”

Andrea Radrizzani already owned 50 per cent of Leeds United.

He became a co-owner in January 2017, with intentions of eventually owning the club at the end of the season.

Leeds United’s ownership has been questionable since Cellino’s controversial ban from all footballing activities in December 2016.

The ban was initially set to be 18 months but has since been reduced to 12, and while his appeal is being investigated it’s still not clear when that ban is set to be enforced.

Andrea Radrizzani’s takeover could alleviate the issue of Cellino’s ban.
