We're Up And Running - Boss (Listen To KB)

Celebrating his birthday in fine style David Healy, 27, put away a 41st-minute penalty following Norwich debutant Lee Croft's silly challenge on Eirik Bakke in the area to ensure Leeds started back to winning ways.

"What this win does is refocus the lads onto this season again," said Blackwell after Leeds rode their luck with Norwich's Robert Earnshaw twice hitting the woodwork. "We're up and running now. Whether it exorcises the ghost completely I don't know, that remains to be seen.

"But what it does do is let the lads know that if they start feeling sorry for themselves it'll be a bloody long hard season."

When asked if Leeds were fortunate to take all three points, Blackwell responded by saying Leeds had created plenty of their own.

"(Geoff) Horsfield missed a sitter, Eddie Lewis missed a sitter, David Healy had a great chance first half - shall I go on? I expect teams to create chances against us. It's alright going on about the chances Norwich created, what about the ones we created?

"Tony (Warner) had a great start. He didn't have a lot to do, but what he did do he looked very accomplished. The one from Earnshaw was a good save and he touched one over the top, but his handling was sure and he's a big lad with a good presence.

"To lose Sully (Neil Sullivan) so late and for the kid to turn up late last night and put in a decent performance is always pleasing. And I was delighted with Geoff. He was shattered at the end, but Geoff hasn't played since February.

"So when you add all that into the equation it's even more creditable against a good side."
